Kids Books A to Z: O is for Olivia

Olivia is the pig, created by Ian Falconer, who won the hearts of little girls and young children all over. It also earned him the Caldecott Honor. Olivia has way too much energy and wears out everyone around her, yet she is still loveable. That seems pretty typical for a kid her age.


Olivia has gone on to have numerous adventures, thanks to her popularity and TV show. Many people have likened her to Eloise. In her subsequent adventures, she saves the circus, forms a band, and travels abroad. A spin-off series of books written by other authors, is based on episodes from Nick Jr.
