**My thoughts**

The illustration on the cover of this book is absolutely stunning. It's simple and beautiful. I love that a mother-daughter team created this story. And I am so happy to have another diverse book that I can add to my collection. It's perfect for at home and for in the classroom. I think all of us can relate to having messy hair at different times. And this book is teaching us to embrace ourselves, even when we're messy. I loved it and I think your kids will, too.
