Review of Evy Loe, What Do You Know? by Professor Stork, illustrated by Len Peralta, original artwork by Patricia Wilson

Evy Loe visits an art gallery with her father, and once she puts on a magical glasses, the artwork in the gallery comes to life. Evy Loe learns about life on a farm, plays with amazing animals, and meets the artist behind the paintings. Evy Loe is the first book in the Meet the Artists series, a set of books that teaches children about diverse cultures though the eyes of working artists - making the world a friendlier place.

**My thoughts**
I appreciate this book for a couple of reasons. First, my father was an artist, so we often spent time together at the art museum and our home felt like an art gallery. Second, my mother grew up on a farm, so I spent time on farms with her family when I was a child. And one of the schools I taught at in the early years was actually on a small farm.

My artist background makes me madly in love with these paintings by Patricia Wilson. They are vibrant and colorful and each tells its own story about its character.

Maybe I have my own imagination glasses like Evy Loe does?

Len Peralta is back with more entertaining illustrations that perfectly accompany the paintings.

The teacher in me loves the little fact lessons that each animal gives.

The story itself is definitely unique.

I love the concept of this series - introducing children to new and different lesser known artists. I'd want to put these books out right next to the ones about more well-known artists. I look forward to seeing who gets featured next!

I received a requested review copy from the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

About the author:

As a children's book author, teacher, parent, and grandparent, Professor Stork believes picture books help change the world for the better. They can make the world a friendlier place by empowering children to make a difference. Leading the charge will be children ages four through eleven.

During these formative years children are motivated to learn how they can, individually and with friends, empower their sense of purpose. The tools we give them during these years last a lifetime, and when the time is right they will know how to make a positive difference in the world.

Children's books are a powerful tool to distract children away from screens and off devices, where the influencers and influences they interact with may not be delivering the strongest positive messages, in terms of helping them build a healthy lifestyle.

Our mission is to provide parents with picture books that deliver messages and entertainment they'll be proud to place in the hands of their children.

Our pledge is to provide your child with books that respect his or her intelligence?

Books that open important conversations between you and your child?

Books that nurture your child’s innate sense and understanding of purpose?

Books that build leadership skills?

Books that give your child hours of enjoyment rather than minutes?

Isn’t it time you joined the Professor Stork revolution?
