What’s a bear to do when he has no money, but wants to give a gift to thank his secret admirer?
**My thoughts**:
I hate those little impersonal Valentine cards that children are so fond of passing out in the classroom. They have no significant meaning, just randomly passed out to a chosen group and negate the meaning of the holiday. In my classroom, I have the children spend time creating a Valentine to share with the whole class. It takes creativity, imagination, and lots of love to make these special messages of friendship. That's what this book is all about. It's about doing something kind for a friend, to show how much you care. It isn't about spending a lot of money or being flashy. It's about working together to create something special from the heart. It's a great message for kids.

I couldn't agree more. Creating and making something out of your skill, creativity and effort for a special person is the greatest gift you can give. I love how you share to young ones the idea of it.
